AnonymSMS is now asms.ai: reliable SMS verification, now built for AI agents

For years, AnonymSMS did one thing well: give you a free, temporary phone number so you could receive a verification code without handing over your real one.

That is not going anywhere. The free shared numbers are still free. The numbers you rely on are the same numbers. We simply outgrew the old name.

asms.ai says where the product is going (fast, modern, and built for the AI era) while staying the simple, free tool you already know.

Nothing you depended on went away. If anything, there is more of it:

• Free shared numbers: pick one, receive your code, done. No signup, no SIM, no cost.
• Private numbers: dedicated to you, with an inbox only you can see, for the accounts that actually matter.
• Pay-per-code: need just one code? Pay for that one code, nothing more.
• Automatic refunds: if a paid code never arrives, you are refunded automatically. You only pay for codes that land.
• More countries: numbers across the US, UK, Germany, Georgia, Ukraine, the Netherlands and more, added regularly.

This is the big shift, and the reason for the new name. Verifying a phone number used to be something only a human did, clicking through a signup form. Now AI agents and automated workflows need to do it too, and almost nothing out there was built for them.

asms.ai is. Give your AI agent its own phone number and it can receive an SMS verification code on its own: request the number, wait for the code, read it, and finish the signup with no human in the loop.

It runs on two things built for machines, not just browsers:

• A native MCP server (Model Context Protocol), the standard AI agents use to call real tools. Drop the config into Claude, Cursor, or your own agent and SMS verification becomes a tool it can use.
• A clean REST API for any script or backend that would rather call HTTP directly.

The MCP server exposes the whole flow as agent tools:

• get_balance, get_pricing, get_inventory: see what's available and what it costs
• create_otp_order, poll_sms: request a number and read the code as it arrives
• list_active_orders, cancel_order: manage everything in flight
